Mini Boards Reviews for the National + Local Anesthesia + CSCE Dental Hygiene Boards Exams!

Keyword: cervical

  • There are 7 cervical vertebrae.
  • There are 12 thoracic vertebrae.
  • There are 5 lumbar vertebrae.
  • There are 4-5 modular pieces in the coccygeal that are fused. In adults, this segment may be fused with the sacrum.

Answer: (B.) 7

When someone gets an injury in the vertebrae, the higher the location of the injury the more paralyzed he/she becomes.
But wait, am I taking the nursing exam? Why do I have to know this? This is not your typical dental hygiene question and we usually do NOT expect to see something like this in our dental hygiene board exams (NBDHE, NDHCE, CSCE, WREB, CRDTS). The reality is that you may see something that you did not study for. I chose this example today on purpose to show that the boards may include surprise questions like this.

The dental hygiene board exams (NBDHE, NDHCE) is composed of over 200 questions. So if you do NOT know the answer, my suggestion is that you choose an answer then move on to the next question quickly. Once we start panicking, our moral can go down. It is just psychological and the rest of the exam may become affected. The better strategy is to focus on content that you have learned.

Hope you are having a great day already knowing that you learned one more piece of information! Refer a friend to StudentRDH and spread SUCCESS around!
