📸 Meet the speakers:
⭐️ Apryl from San Joaquin Valley College
I tell myself every day “I will become a dental hygienist and a damn good one too”
Test anxiety was one of her major difficulties in school. She was often feeling overwhelmed by all the exams and quizzes to the point where she had trouble retaining all the information given by the instructors. 🤯 She thought about quitting, however failing was never an option for her! Apryl is a wife and mother of four boys and she will share with all of you how to become a successful student while in any dental hygiene program.
⭐️ Lina from Tunxis Community College
“ With 5 years of dental assisting experience underneath my belt, there are STILL days where I just want to cry in hygiene school.”
Learn how she embraced the struggle and how that motivates her to try even harder to overcome any obstacles. 👏 Lina will also share how dental hygiene school has taught her how to problem solve, how to think outside the box and push yourself harder when you feel as though you’re at your wit’s end.
⭐️ Melissa from Community College of Rhode Island
Melissa struggled through the hygiene program in the heavy course load and oftentimes felt blindsided by exams that she felt prepared for. 😯 She felt setbacks while taking classes such as embryology but was able to change and redirect her study habits to achieve success and pass her course!
Dental hygiene school can be tough. But know that you have the strength within yourself to overcome any hurdles you may encounter along the way. 🙌
You’ve got this! 💫
