Meet your Faculty
Amanda Mitchell, BAS, MA, RDH
Amanda Mitchell, RDH, BAS, MA is a graduate of Kellogg Community College with an Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene and Siena Heights University with a Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene and a Master’s Degree in Leadership in Higher Education.
She is a professor of dental hygiene and teaches preclinical sciences, advanced clinical sciences, and a variety of didactic courses. Amanda enjoys her time in the clinical and classroom settings with her students and has launched her own board review tutoring business. She has been a CE speaker and author for major companies in the dental industry and enjoys applying the newest research in her approaches.
Amanda is currently an active member in the Dallas Dental Hygienists’ Association serving as a delegate, trustee, and on multiple committees. She currently resides in Dallas, Texas with her husband and their two dogs.
Melody Wright, RDH.
Melody is a native of the Valley of Sun- Phoenix, Arizona. She graduated from Northern Arizona University where she earned Bachelor’s of Science Degrees in Dental Hygiene and Biology. Melody graduated Magna Cum Laude and received the Western Society of Periodontology Student Award.
Over the course of her career as a dental hygienist, Melody has worked both in public health and private practice. She has also been a dental hygiene educator at a dental hygiene school located in Phoenix.
During her time as an educator, Melody had the opportunity to provide instruction to dental hygiene students in the clinic setting as well as in the classroom. Melody’s favorite courses to teach include Pre-Clinic and Community Oral Health.
